Simple newborn photography is my favorite. Why? I think it is because the focus is 100% on the baby. These images are always pure and timeless. When you take fancy props and outfits out of the equation, your images won’t ever date.
When Michelle came to me, she didn’t want images that were full of stuff. We decided on simple color – mint and purple. Any wraps and headbands were to be kept very simple. The images that we created are simply stunning. Baby was posed totally naturally, showing off her little features in an organic setting.
Another request was a focus on the details. I took lots of macro shots – photographs that are zoomed in very close to pick up all the little details. The photos of eyelashes, little bitty fingers and tiny toes, will fill the pages of an album.
We created a number of heart melting images with Mom and Dad as well. I will never forget the way Dad lit up every time he held his new baby girl. You can see in the photos just how in love with her he is.
